Meet Your Rancher
The Farm Family You Can Actually Know
Hi, I'm Elizabeth. I live on a small farm in Kansas. I homeschool four kids, and my husband works as a meteorologist.
The Health Journey That Started a Farm
I didn't start this business to sell beef. I started it because I wanted better food for my family.
After a car accident during my second pregnancy, I dealt with ongoing pain that traditional approaches didn't resolve. Through researching movement, nutrition, and everyday lifestyle habits, I began to understand how deeply our bodies are affected by what we put into them - and what we surround them with daily.
Food was one of the most impactful changes we made. As we became more intentional about what we ate, the difference was impossible to ignore. That experience fundamentally changed how I viewed food quality, sourcing, and responsibility.
The Heart of COWabunga
My experience with healing using food and movement inspired COWabunga Cattle Company LLC. Our mission is simple: to share the kind of real, nourishing beef that supported my own journey back to health.
While we grow our own herd and land the right way — responsibly and without cutting corners — we partner with a carefully vetted farm that meets our exact same standards. We wouldn't sell you anything we wouldn't feed our own family, and that standard applies whether it comes from our pasture or our partner's. Food quality matters. Transparency matters. Honoring the whole animal matters.
Together with our partner farm, we’re raising beef that’s:
- Born and raised in the USA
- Never given hormones or antibiotics
- Raised using regenerative practices that heal the soil and support thriving ecosystems
This isn’t large-scale agriculture. It’s families working side by side — caring for animals and restoring the land.
When you order from us, you’re not just buying beef. You’re supporting American ranches, healthier communities, and a way of life that nourishes everyone involved.
